Ingredients

  • 5 lb. stew beef
  • 2 large onions
  • lemon pepper season
  • red wine (1/2 c.)
  • 1/2 c. garlic vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • hickory smoked barbecue sauce
  • 6 cloves

Instructions

  1. Slice 1 onion in bottom of crock-pot.
  2. Add meat, lemon pepper season and cloves.
  3. Slice other onion on top of meat.
  4. Add vinegar and water; cook on low for 12 hours.
  5. After 12 hours, drain meat (most of liquid off) and add brown sugar and barbecue sauce.
  6. Cook for 6 more hours on low.
