Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 4 eggs

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat water and margarine to boiling point.
  2. Stir in the sifted flour.
  3. Stir constantly over low heat until the mixture leaves the pan and forms into a ball (about 1 minute).
  4. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  5. Beat in the eggs one at a time until smooth and velvety.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 400°F for 45 to 50 minutes or until dry and golden.
  8. Allow the cream puffs to cool slowly before serving.
