Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. cornmeal
  • 3 tsp. baking powder

Instructions

  1. Cut 1/2 cup soft butter or margarine into the dry mixture until evenly incorporated.
  2. Add 3 eggs and beat well into the mixture.
  3. Add 1 cup milk and beat until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  5. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
