Judy'S "Mounds"
Delightful coconut balls coated in smooth chocolate, offering a rich, sweet treat perfect for parties or satisfying a sweet tooth craving with tropical flavors.
Ingredients
- 14 oz. coconut
- 1 c. light Karo syrup
- 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate pieces ⓘ
- 1/2 block paraffin wax
Instructions
- Mix coconut and Karo syrup together.
- Blend well.
- Let the mixture set in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
- Form the mixture into balls and place them on waxed paper.
- Refrigerate the balls for at least 1 hour.
- Melt semi-sweet chocolate with paraffin wax in the top of a double boiler.
- Dip each coconut ball into the melted chocolate using a toothpick.
- Allow the chocolate to harden, then refrigerate the coated balls.
