Ingredients

  • 5 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1/2 cup wheat germ
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds

Instructions

  1. Heat oatmeal in a 250°F oven for 10 minutes.
  2. Combine flaked coconut, wheat germ, and cinnamon with the heated oatmeal.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix honey, oil, and vanilla.
  4. Stir the honey mixture into the dry ingredients until evenly coated.
  5. Spread the mixture on a large cookie sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring often.
  6. Add cashews and sunflower seeds, then bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Toss raisins with brown sugar and fold into the granola.
  8. Store in an airtight container.
