Ingredients

  • 1 large onion
  • 4 to 5 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 bunch carrots, chopped
  • 1 lb. stew meat
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot two-thirds full with water.
  2. Place stew meat and onion in the water and boil until the meat is cooked through.
  3. Add diced potatoes and chopped carrots to the pot.
  4. Cook the stew on medium heat for 2 hours, until the vegetables are soft.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot once the potatoes and carrots are tender.
