Ingredients

  • 2 qt. popped corn
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Kahlua
  • 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 3/4 c. cashews

Instructions

  1. In a shallow pan, keep popped corn warm in a low oven.
  2. Bring sugar, Kahlua, and vinegar to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  3. Add butter.
  4. Insert a candy thermometer and cook to the hard crack stage (300°).
  5. Pour the caramel mixture over the warmed, popped corn and stir to coat evenly.
  6. Add cashews.
  7. Cool and store in an airtight container in a cool place.
