Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 (7 oz.) jar Marshmallow Creme
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans evaporated milk
  • 1 (6 oz.) package butterscotch pieces
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • dash of salt
  • 1 (6 oz.) package semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Instructions

  1. In a 3-quart saucepan, combine sugar, Marshmallow Creme, evaporated milk, butter, and salt.
  2. Cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture boils.
  3. Boil gently, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes.
  4. Divide the mixture in half.
  5. To one half (about 3 cups), add chocolate pieces and stir until melted and blended.
  6. Pour the chocolate layer into a buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  7. Spread the remaining plain mixture over the chocolate layer and smooth the top.
  8. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
