Ingredients

  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 1 box confectioners sugar

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle nuts and coconut over the bottom of a floured and greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Mix the German chocolate cake mix according to the package directions.
  3. Pour the prepared cake batter over the nuts and coconut in the pan.
  4. Melt the margarine in a saucepan; add the cream cheese and confectioners sugar and mix until smooth.
  5. Pour this mixture over the top of the cake batter.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
