Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • jam, pie filling, or Hawaiian preserves

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, softened margarine, and sour cream together thoroughly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Divide the chilled dough into 2 to 4 pieces.
  3. Roll each piece into a rectangle.
  4. Fill the center third of each rectangle with jam, pie filling, or preserves.
  5. Fold both sides over the filling and fold the ends up to seal.
  6. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes.
  7. Frost the baked kringle with sugar glaze.
