- Wash and slice cucumbers and chop onions and bell peppers.
- Let stand 3 hours in cold water and salt, then drain.
- Mix vinegar, sugar, mustard seed, and turmeric and bring to a boil.
- Add drained cucumbers to the boiling mixture and heat, but do not boil.
- Put the mixture in jars and seal.
