- Combine warm water, molasses, and dry yeast in a large bowl; let stand for 5 minutes.
- Add oil and 4 cups of whole wheat flour; beat about 110 strokes.
- Add enough white flour to make a stiff dough.
- Knead until smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough, cover, and let it rise again.
- Form into 3 loaves and place in well-greased bread pans.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 50 minutes.
