Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups blackberries or other fruit

Instructions

  1. Pour the batter into a greased glass baking dish, then spoon on the fruit mixture evenly over the batter.
  2. Place small pats of butter over the top of the fruit and batter mixture.
  3. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
  4. Serve warm with heavy cream or ice cream on top.
