Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup lemon drops, crushed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cream Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg and lemon juice, mixing well.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and crushed lemon drops.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing on high speed until well-blended.
  6. Drop teaspoons of dough onto a greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
  8. Remove from oven and cool on wire racks.
  9. Frost if desired.
