Ingredients

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. dairy eggnog
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease and flour two layer cake pans.
  3. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Add eggs, vanilla, eggnog, and butter to the dry ingredients.
  5. Blend well at medium speed until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pans.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
