Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 c. oleo
  • 1 2/3 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Cut the oleo into the dry ingredients until well incorporated.
  2. Slowly add the milk to the mixture, stirring until combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured board until smooth.
  4. Cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter and place them in a lightly greased baking pan.
  5. Bake in a 400°F oven for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
