Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 packages yeast
  • 4 1/2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Melt butter; add sugar and salt.
  2. Warm the milk.
  3. Add yeast to the warm milk and let it activate.
  4. Add 1 cup of flour to the yeast mixture and set in a warm place covered with a towel to let it rise until spongy.
  5. Add 3 beaten eggs and the remaining flour to the mixture.
  6. Let the dough double in size.
  7. Knead the dough thoroughly.
  8. Divide the dough into 3 parts, each will make a dozen rolls.
  9. Let the divided dough rise again.
  10. Roll each part into a circle and cut into 12 wedges.
  11. Roll each wedge from the big end to the small end to form a crescent shape.
  12. Bake at 350°F until light brown.
