A vibrant and refreshing lime fruit salad combining tangy jello, sweet cherries, crunchy nuts, and creamy sour cream, perfect for festive gatherings or a cool summer treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 large or 2 small packages lime jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 bottle cherries
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 1 pint sour cream

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the lime jello in boiling water; mix thoroughly and let it cool (not in the refrigerator).
  2. Drain the cherries and cut them in half.
  3. Mix the cooled jello, cherries, chopped nuts, and sour cream together.
  4. Pour the mixture into an 8-inch square glass dish and chill.
  5. Once set, cut into 9 pieces to serve.
