Ingredients

  • 3 oz. package lime Jell-O
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups ginger ale
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped peeled apples
  • 1/2 cup chopped nut meats

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the lime Jell-O and a pinch of salt in boiling water.
  2. Cool the mixture and then add the ginger ale.
  3. When the Jell-O mixture is slightly thickened, stir in the chopped celery, peeled apples, and chopped nut meats.
  4. Chill the salad until set, then serve on lettuce with mayonnaise thinned with a fruit juice.
