Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 ounce whiskey
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Add sugar and eggs; beat well.
  2. Mix baking soda into sour cream. Add all ingredients together.
  3. Knead on a floured board.
  4. Roll out flat.
  5. Cut into 2 x 3-inch long strips, making a slit in the center. Twist into bows.
  6. Drop into hot fat and fry until light brown.
  7. Drain on paper towels.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar.
