Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • self-rising flour

Instructions

  1. Make the dumplings by mixing 1 cup of milk with enough self-rising flour to form a stiff dough.
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the dough and cut into strips.
  3. In a pot, combine 1/4 cup vinegar, 2 cups water, 1 cup sugar, and a pinch of salt and bring to a boil.
  4. Drop the dough strips into the boiling mixture and cook until the dumplings are done.
