Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 2 c. lukewarm water
  • 2 c. mashed potatoes
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. lard
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 10 c. bread flour or until stiff

Instructions

  1. Work the dough like bread dough and let it rise until doubled in size.
  2. Roll out the dough and cut into strips.
  3. Let the strips rise again until puffed up.
  4. Bake until golden brown.
