Ingredients

  • 4 qts. sliced cucumbers
  • 6 med. onions
  • 2 sweet green peppers
  • 1 hot red pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, cut fine
  • 1/3 c. salt
  • 5 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard seed

Instructions

  1. Cover cucumbers, onion, peppers, garlic and salt with ice cubes and mix, let stand 3 hours then drain.
  2. Add sugar, turmeric, celery seed, mustard seed and vinegar - bring to a boil.
  3. Seal in hot jars.
