Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 c. scalded milk
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. margarine
  • 4 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Dissolve 2 packages of yeast and 2 teaspoons of sugar in 1 cup of warm water; let stand for 2 minutes.
  2. Add 2 cups of scalded milk, 3/4 cup of sugar, 2/3 cup of margarine, 4 teaspoons of salt, and 2 beaten eggs to the yeast mixture.
  3. Blend in flour until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough thoroughly.
  5. Turn the dough into a greased bowl and let it rise until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and shape into hot rolls.
  7. Let the rolls rise again until puffy.
  8. Bake in a 350°F oven until golden brown.
