Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/3 cup Splenda low calorie sweetener
  • 2 cups skim milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine egg, egg whites, Splenda low calorie sweetener, skim milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. With a wire whisk, beat until smooth and well blended, approximately 1 minute.
  4. Pour mixture into four 6-ounce custard cups.
  5. Arrange cups in a large baking pan so they do not touch.
  6. Pour very hot water, not boiling, into the pan so the water is 1-inch deep.
  7. Place the pan in the middle of the oven.
  8. Bake custard for 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Transfer cups from the pan to a wire rack.
  10. Cool to room temperature.
  11. Chill in refrigerator for at least two hours.
