Low Fat Pie Crust

Ingredients

  • 2 c. all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. canola oil
  • 1/4 c. water

Instructions

  1. Sift the flour and salt together.
  2. Combine the oil and water in a measuring cup.
  3. Beat with a fork or whisk until thick and creamy.
  4. Pour the oil and water mixture over the flour all at once.
  5. Toss and cut with a fork until blended.
  6. Form the mixture into a ball.
  7. Save 1/4 of the crust for decoration or top crust.
  8. Roll out 3/4 of the crust until it fits your pie pan.
  9. Place the rolled crust in the pan and prick with a fork.
  10. Flute the edges of the crust.
  11. Roll remaining crust and cut into leaf shapes for the top of the pie.
