Ingredients

  • 2 ribs celery, chopped
  • 2 medium carrots, diced
  • 1 cup raw rice
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 frying chicken, cut up
  • 1 cube butter

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet and brown the chicken pieces.
  2. Remove the chicken and add chopped celery and diced carrots to the skillet.
  3. Lightly brown the vegetables.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet, add water, rice, and onion soup mix.
  5. Cover and simmer until the rice is cooked and the chicken is tender.
