Ingredients

  • 1 cup macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Instructions

  1. Line the bottom and sides of a 9-inch round cake pan with aluminum foil.
  2. Generously butter the foil-lined pan.
  3. Cook the macadamia nuts, butter, sugar, and corn syrup in a heavy skillet over low heat, stirring until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves.
  4. Increase the heat and boil until the mixture turns golden brown and begins to mass together, stirring constantly (about 5 minutes).
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the semi-sweet chocolate morsels over the top, letting them melt and spreading evenly.
  7. Cool for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove from the pan and peel off the foil.
  9. Cool completely and break into pieces.
