Ingredients

  • 1 lb. macaroni
  • 1 lb. grated cheese
  • 14 oz. can Carnation milk
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni in 1 quart of water until overcooked and almost flattened out.
  2. Add butter and Carnation milk to the cooked macaroni and continue to cook.
  3. Add grated cheese, stirring continuously until cheese is melted.
  4. Turn off heat and let the mixture set for a few minutes to thicken.
  5. Spread the mixture in a pan about 1/4-inch thick and chill until firm.
