Ingredients

  • 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 15 oz. can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 baked 8-inch pie shell

Instructions

  1. Melt the unsweetened chocolate in the top of a double boiler.
  2. Add the sweetened condensed milk and stir over rapidly boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes or until thick.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add water, salt, and vanilla, mixing well.
  5. Pour the mixture into a baked 8-inch pie shell.
  6. Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.
  7. Chill before serving.
