Ingredients

  • 12 to 14 slices white bread
  • 8 oz shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 8 eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Spread half of the bread slices evenly over the bottom, cutting off crusts and using crusts to fill in the empty spaces.
  3. Layer shredded cheddar cheese over the bread and top with a second layer of bread.
  4. Mix together 8 eggs and 1/3 cup milk.
  5. Beat until well blended.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the bread in the pan.
  7. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes.
