Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or oleo
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and sugar well until fluffy.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Mix flour, salt, and baking powder, sifting twice.
  4. Add alternately with milk until well mixed.
  5. Stir in vanilla.
  6. Pour into a greased Bundt or tube pan.
  7. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 1 hour.
