Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup white syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups raw peanuts
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 teaspoons baking soda

Instructions

  1. Mix together sugar, white syrup, and water in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook until the mixture reaches the soft ball stage.
  3. Add peanuts to the mixture and continue cooking until it reaches the hard boil stage.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in butter and baking soda; mix well.
  5. Pour the mixture onto a greased baking sheet and spread evenly.
  6. Allow to cool and harden before breaking into pieces.
