Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 (40 oz.) jars spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (8 oz.) package lasagna noodles
  • 1 (12 oz.) package shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and drain well.
  2. Mix in 1 1/2 jars of spaghetti sauce and simmer for about 2 minutes.
  3. Save the remaining 1/2 jar of sauce for breadsticks or later use.
  4. Cook the lasagna noodles as directed on the package.
  5. Drain the noodles and cover with cold water until ready to use.
  6. Mix the shredded Cheddar and Mozzarella cheeses together in a large bowl.
  7. Grease or spray a 9 x 13-inch pan with cooking spray.
  8. Layer the ingredients in the pan as follows: a thin layer of sauce to cover the bottom, drained noodles, cheese mixture, noodles, sauce, cheese mixture, and repeat until all ingredients are used.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
  10. Let the lasagna stand for about 10 minutes, then cut into squares and serve.
