Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter or Crisco
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar and butter; add egg and beat well.
  2. Add flour, which has been sifted with baking powder, alternately with milk and vanilla.
  3. Chill well.
  4. Roll thin and cut with cookie cutter.
  5. Bake at 350° until light brown.
