Ingredients

  • 1 c. real butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. flour (plain)

Instructions

  1. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add 1/2 of the flour and beat another 2 to 4 minutes until fluffy.
  3. Add remainder of flour and work into dough with hands until blended.
  4. Press into a 9-inch pie pan.
  5. Crimp edges and prick all over with a fork.
  6. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes until delicately brown.
  7. Cool slightly and cut into small squares.
