Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1/4 cup maple flavored syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 12-cup fluted tube pan.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt the margarine or butter.
  4. Stir in brown sugar, chopped pecans or walnuts, and maple-flavored syrup.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup of the sugar mixture into the prepared pan.
  6. Separate the biscuit dough into 20 biscuits.
  7. Stand the biscuits on edge, slightly overlapping around the pan, in a circular pattern.
  8. Pour the remaining sugar mixture over the biscuits.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from oven and cool for 3 minutes.
  11. Invert the pan onto a serving plate to release the biscuit ring.
  12. Serve warm.
