Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup coffee cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, maple syrup, and coffee cream in a deep saucepan.
  2. Stir carefully over low heat until sugar is dissolved and the syrup starts to boil.
  3. Add butter; boil to soft ball stage.
  4. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  5. Cool until warm to touch.
  6. Add vanilla and salt; beat until creamy.
  7. Turn into a buttered 8 or 9-inch square pan.
  8. Cut into squares.
