Maple Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup maple sugar (or Faux Maple Sugar)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Sift first three ingredients together.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together; add eggs, lemon extract and milk.
  3. Add flour mixture and blend well.
  4. Refrigerate about 1/2 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 350F and lightly grease cookie sheets.
  6. Roll dough 1/4" thick and dust with maple sugar; cut into attractive shapes with cookie cutters, place on prepared cookie sheets and bake about 15 minutes.
