Ingredients

  • 2 cups cake flour, sifted 5 times
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 5 teaspoons orange juice
  • 5 teaspoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar and shortening well.
  2. Add eggs, beating well after each addition.
  3. Add flour alternately with orange and lemon juice.
  4. Beat well, then add vanilla.
  5. Bake in a tube pan at 350°F for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
  6. Serve warm.
