Ingredients

  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, cocoa, and salt together until well mixed.
  2. Stir milk into dry ingredients in a heavy pan.
  3. Cook at medium-high heat until it comes to a rolling boil.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and boil gently, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  5. Continue cooking until the mixture reaches the desired temperature or stage for fudge (usually soft ball stage).
  6. Remove from heat and stir in butter, peanut butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Pour into a greased pan and let cool before cutting into pieces.
