Delicious homemade turtles featuring caramel, pecans, and chocolate, offering a rich, sweet, and nutty treat perfect for sharing or gifting during special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz. package caramel candies
  • 4 to 5 Tbsp. evaporated milk
  • 2 cups broken pecans
  • 1/2 cake paraffin
  • 6 oz. package chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a double boiler, melt the caramels with 4 to 5 tablespoons of evaporated milk until smooth.
  2. Stir in the broken pecans and mix well.
  3. Drop spoonfuls of the caramel mixture onto a buttered cookie sheet and chill until firm.
  4. Meanwhile, melt the paraffin and chocolate chips together in a double boiler.
  5. Dip each caramel piece into the melted chocolate mixture to coat.
  6. Place dipped candies on parchment paper to set and store covered.
