Instructions
- Stir all ingredients together: warm water, yeast, sugar, Crisco oil, and salt.
- Add enough flour to make the dough the consistency of biscuit dough, about 3 1/2 quarts.
- Put the dough in a bowl and brush the top with butter.
- Let the dough rise until it doubles in size.
- Punch down the dough.
- Pinch off pieces of dough to form rolls.
- Brush the rolls with butter and let rise again until they double in size.
- Bake the rolls until golden brown.
- Brush with butter when done.
