- Beat the egg whites until stiff.
- Beat the egg yolks until light.
- Add salt, pepper, and melted oleo or butter to the egg yolks.
- Fold the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites.
- Fold in the matzo meal, one spoonful at a time.
- Refrigerate the batter for at least 1 hour.
- Wet hands and form the batter into balls the size of a walnut.
- Drop the balls into rapidly boiling soup or water.
- Reduce heat and cook slowly, covered, for about 30 minutes.
