Meat Sauce Macaroni

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground round
  • 1/2 cup commercial pizza sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup hot cooked elbow macaroni (about 2 ounces uncooked)
  • 2 tablespoons (about 1/2 ounce) shredded reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook meat in a small nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until browned, stirring to crumble. Drain. Wipe drippings from pan with a paper towel; return meat to pan. Add sauce, salt, and pepper; cook 2 minutes. Add pasta; cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle each serving with 1 tablespoon cheese.
