Memama'S Corn Chowder

A hearty and creamy corn chowder with smoky bacon, tender potatoes, and sweet corn, perfect for cozy gatherings and satisfying comfort food lovers.

Ingredients

  • 1 can white creamed corn
  • 1 bag frozen white corn
  • 12 oz. package bacon
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4 medium potatoes

Instructions

  1. Cut bacon into 1-inch segments and brown to a crisp in a large pot.
  2. Add diced onion to the bacon and sauté until translucent.
  3. While the bacon and onion are cooking, boil potatoes until soft, then drain, leaving enough water to cover the potatoes by an inch.
  4. Add cooked bacon, sautéed onion, canned and frozen corn, and milk to the potatoes.
  5. Simmer on low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve hot with cornbread or crackers.
