Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 6 Tbsp. melted shortening
  • 1 c. raisins, plumped
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sift dry ingredients
  2. and mix well.
  3. Add rest of ingredients; mix.
  4. Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  5. Sprinkle top with cinnamon and sugar.
  6. Bake for 25 or 30 minutes at 350°.
