Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine
  • 2 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. white syrup
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. or more nuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Microwave the mixture for 5 minutes on High; stir well.
  2. Cook for 5 minutes longer on High; beat well with a wooden spoon.
  3. Cook for an additional 8 minutes.
  4. Add nuts to the caramel mixture.
  5. Pour the caramel into a buttered pan.
  6. Cool and cut into squares.
