Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a 1-quart glass measuring cup, combine sugar and flour gradually.
  2. Stir in milk.
  3. Heat on High for 5 to 6 minutes, until sauce is slightly thickened, stirring every 2 minutes.
  4. Quickly stir in beaten egg yolks with a wire whip.
  5. Heat on Defrost for 1 to 2 minutes, until sauce is thickened, stirring after 1 minute.
  6. Stir in vanilla extract.
  7. Chill slightly before serving.
