Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the oil and milk to the flour mixture.
  4. Beat until the mixture clings together.
  5. Pinch off portions and roll into balls about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
  6. Flatten each ball slightly. Melt the butter in a 7-inch skillet.
  7. Place each biscuit in the melted butter and turn it over to coat both sides.
  8. Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve hot.
